[의문] Auto-Scaling (+Scaling 더 빠르게 하는 법)

Scaling 더 빠르게 하기 :

1) dynamic scaling

2) predictive scaling 같이 사용한다.

 

나는 아직 Minimum size와 Desired capacity의 차이를 모르겠어.

Suppose that you are preparing to launch an application on EC2 instances. When you create an Auto Scaling group, you can set the minimum number of EC2 instances for the application. The minimum capacity is the number of EC2 instances that launch immediately after you have created the Auto Scaling group. In this example, the Auto Scaling group has a minimum capacity of one EC2 instance. This means that at all times, there must be at least one EC2 instance running.

 

Minimum capacity는 auto scaling 그룹을 만든 후 즉각적으로 실행되는 EC2 인스턴스의 수다.

즉, 최소한 minimum 만큼은 항상 켜져있다는거다.

 

그리고 Desired capacity를 설정하면, Auto scaling group이 desired capacity로 정한 만큼 갯수를 맞추려고 한다.

 

Q) Minimum capacity가 Desired capacity까지 내려올 수가 있어? 그리고 만약 만족 못하게 되면 어떻게 되는데?
